Thank you for not ruining the story of the monster of the millennium.  Of course, I am referring to Daniel Carleton Gajdusek, and the video “Storyville: The genius and the Boys”.

 Kuru, a human TSE thought to be transmitted via ritualistic cannibalism, shares
similar clinical features with peripherally inoculated iatrogenic CJD and is known to have
an incubation period ranging from 4.5 to over 35 years.

Chimpanzees fed millions of infectious units of kuru brain never developed the neurological disease that chimpanzees injected with kuru brain did.

Is that because kuru is not transmitted by eating?  Did Gajdusek inject the Fore with CJD?  Yes. Both questions.

Why? To get access to the Kuks.
How?  An outbreak of “transfusion errors” led to the deaths of some 300 recipients of freeze dried serum or products that had been through the same equipment used to freeze dry the serum from a French sailor.  This individual had been on board a French vessel in New York harbor on December 11, 1941 when the United States of America and Nazi Germany declared war on each other.  The individual was taken into custody on December 12, 1941.  The individual had fought the Germans during the first world war.  Due to his age, and disposition, he ended up in the Merchant Marine.  Sailing to Maracaibo, he became unable to perform his duties, and was set ashore, where he died of “alcoholic dementia”.  Previously, he had donated blood.  The blood was processed into serum and freeze dried.  The reconstituted serum was administered to a pilot trainee who had suffered burns and broken bones.  The pilot trainee made a good recovery from the accident.   He developed what was at the time an unknown neuropathy, and died.  This was connected to the French sailor after sixty additional transfusion errors resulting in neuropathy and death.  The airman had received the reconstituted serum, the others had received serum from other individuals, not suffering from “alcoholic dementia” that had been processed in the same equipment and became ill, and died.  Three hundred suffered from “transfusion error”.

The equipment was quarantined, at the Institute for Tropical Medicine.  After the war, did Gajdusek sniff around the Army files to unearth this equipment?
Yes.

At this point, I called a Felix Frankfurter.  I saw the files, WWII stuff in the sub basement of the commerce department.  It was the summer of 1977.  Gajdusek had won a Nobel the year before.  Yeah, that's War department files and folders, but this is not possible.  Jeffery wouldn't let me keep the files, as he may have appropriated them from his father from the State department annex.  Jeffery's father given name was Nathan Hale.

How did Gajdusek get away with this?
Easy, the region in PNG where he did his crime was previously part of the German empire.  German attitudes persisted in the former colony into the 1970's (1,2).  Melanesian were lab animals, not human beings.

It was a crime of genius, but a crime, not science.  Injecting women and children with Iodinated oil fortified with CJD.
How was this missed?  It wasn't.  Smarter kids than me noticed that Gajdusek got his jollies and his paycheck in the same place.   New disease, fame, helpless boys.  Divine or diabolic intervention? Or atrocity. You pick, you defend.

Unproven, but Replicable

I don't think you think I'm wrong, but I might be, but I'm not, most probably. The Kuku Kuku with their peculiar habits, living next to the Kuru kuru victims, both of great interest to Carleton Gajdusek seems to good to be true, from the perspective of Gajdusek. So it isn't true, that the disease occurred naturally. It was instead a incidence of iatrogenic disease, transmitted by Gajdusek to women and children during a cretinism prevention campaign.

The Fore, the tribe that had the kuru epidemic, lived within walking distance of the Kuku kuku, a tribe of baby rapers.

Kuru couldn't be transmitted to chimpanzees orally. Had to be injected into the bloodstream. Or inocullated directly on the exposed brain.

Women and children got kuru. Women and children in the kuru region also suffered from Iodine deficiency. The treatment was to inject them with iodinated olive oil.

Target population for DCG "experiment".

Blood transmission of neurodegenerative disease. WWII freeze dried serum incident. Serum transmitted the disease, so did the equipment used to process the serum. recipients of disease free serum, that is the donors had no neurological disease, came down with the same neurological disease as the recipient of the diseased serum, the disease somehow persisting on the processing equipment.

So disease with unknown etiological agent, persists in medical equipment.

This had been observed in brain surgery. Instrument tranmitted disease.

so what? The thing is that DCG may have been a genius, and no one proved that he went and killed the Fore, but you know you could nab a sheep or goat with scrapie, drain its csf, and make a scrapie/CJD injection kit, and find some spear chuckers, and recreate the kuru epidemic.

Of course, I could be wrong. How do I produce kuru? ?Goat thyroid. Source of powdered thyroid in the old days. Scrapie infected goat processed into thyroid powder. It would be nice if I could find in the older literature, a case of fatal neuropathy in a patient who received goat powdered thyroid, the goat having scrapie. Or even better, a case of fatal neuropathy in a patient getting injected with a suspension of goat thyroid, and a corresponding lack of neuropathy in patients taking infected goat thyroid orally.

Background

A survivor of the Battle of Rourkes Drift, on his deathbed screamed “The Zulus are coming to kill us.” He was safe at home in England, but he never left Africa. Jenny Lou screamed at me, for quite some time about the rape of a baby, accused me of being a baby raper, and accused me of being Carleton Gajdusek. She was dying in a nursing home in Fort Smith Arkansas, but she never left Cincinnati children’ hospital.

Her story is incredible, that she caught Carleton Gajdusek in the act of raping and murdering a baby. She was a screaming dying old lady, disinhibited by fear and disease, cursing me and raging so sincerely that when she started screaming about a baby, I looked around for the child.

During the summer of 1977, while destroying files of merchant mariners under the FOIA, a coworker passed a file to me that didn’t seem as fantastic as a great many of the war stories we read while being specifically told not to. Unbelievable stories. Submarines, torpedoes, mines, stories of the merchant marine after the war, The Texas city explosion health and dental files, prostitutes in Baltimore( some quite famous if the files are to be believed),but the file of our concern was, uh dull.

After declaring war on Germany in December 1941 French flagged ships were seized in US ports. On one commercial vessel anchored in NYC, a Frenchman was seized and held. A WWI veteran, he joined the US merchant marine. He shipped out of New Orleans on a trip to Maracaibo to bring latex to the US. During the trip he became unable to perform his duties, and was put off the boat in Maracaibo, where he died of “alcoholic dementia”.

While he was stateside, he was a blood donor. His blood was processed into serum and freeze dried. His serum was reconstituted and given to a wounded airman, who recovered from his burns and broken bones suffered in a training accident. The airman did not return to service. He died of a nonspecific neurological disorder.

Shortly thereafter, a number of other recipients of freeze dried serum died of nonspecific neurological disease. These recipients did not receive serum from the dead Frenchman or the pilot trainee; they received serum that had been processed through the same freeze dryer. The cleaning and disinfecting step used did not prevent the passage of some agent that caused the disease.

The cleaning and disinfecting steps used would prevent the transmission of any known pathogen, and the materials used in the processing aren’t known to be neurotoxic.

This is an interesting problem.

First thing, quarantine the freeze dryer and ancillary equipment.

Second thing, there is a war on, when it is over, get some good researchers to figure out what the hell happened.

I'm a stupid guy. Share my stupidity. Try this, some guy is a genius, a baby raper and a stinking schmuck. He ends up living a the life of a revered baby raper and genius. He spends years with a tribe that practices ritual baby rape. He "finds" a disease in the tribe next door. The disease didn't exist before he showed up, and doesn't exist now. Outside the world of the stupid, this would be called a clue. How stupid am I? This guy, Carleton Gajdusek, was real. He was a child rapist and pornographer. Sadistic, if you're keeping score. He graduated from Harvard medical school. At the time he was the youngest graduate. He did a residency at Cinc childrens hospital. It didn't work out. The genius pediatrican was caught in the act of raping and murdering a baby. Being a genius and having conections, he was offered military service in leiu of prison. He got off on the old "temporal lobe epilepsy" defense. Sadistic monster, so what? The military booted him as unsuitable at the time. He slimed around universities until he was back in the Army.

during WWII freeze dried serum was associated with around 60 unexplainable deaths from some neuropathology. Institute of Tropical medicine, freeze dryer quarantined. In the possesion of US Army. Gajdusek had access to the freezed dried samples, the lyophilizer, corpses of the victims, and he set about the crime of the millenium.

Years of injecting unsuspecting victims with the "stuff" he figured out dosage, latency, progression to symtoms and death. In 1954, he set out to kill the Fore and rape the Kuks. In 1957 he reported the disease, that he had injected into Fore women and children.

Idiot that I am, I don't believe this. It could happen, purely by the action of the immutable laws of nature, that the specific demography and geography of kuru victims, Gajduseks paraphilias Kuku kuku rituals all were as natural and inevitable as a total solar eclipse in Manhattan.

I am an idiot so I do not believe that DCG was a pure and perfect monster, sadist child rapist, murderer nonpariel, and stinking schmuck. I also don't believe that he used his postion at NIH to rape children world wide, on film. I don't believe that he injected Robert R. with a bacteria free extract of chimpanzee serum from one of his zombie chimps. Or that on October 14, 1976 he injected one of his "sons" from Haiti with the same extract, in reaction to said "son" denigrating his (DCG) crowning achievement "SHARING" the Nobel with, well, that Jew.

So in 1974 Jenny Lou screamed "Baby Fucker!! Goddamn pusillanimus baby fucker!! God damn you Carleton Gajdusek you God damned pusillanimus baby fucker, I saw you fuck that baby! Baby fucker!!" and then she died. Whoa, crazy lady, dying screaming about Gajdusek. Jenny Lou was a nurse, in a children's hospital in Cincinnati. In considering this, we resort to the idiots tool, the analysis of competing hypotheses.

Idiot that I am, consider, folks say Gajdusek was a saint, a humanitarian. He admits to raping 300 children. Competing hypotheses: Saint and humanitarian or guy has a day job as a saint and humanitarian to pay for torture chamber studios production of "Wild man from Borneo rapes baby boys".
